Tourism without barriers! Not only architectural, but mainly cultural and ideological ones that tend to exclude the weakest, such as the people with disabilities, or those who have special needs for fully enjoying holidays, such as the elderly.

Everyone has the right to an independent life, to real autonomy in taking big and small decisions on everyday life, even when choosing a journey. This is the objective of NO BARRIER, an initiative arising from the perfect synergy and common sharing of local and international partners, whose final aim is a real public and institutional commitment towards the weakest groups.

Since the beginning, the Province of Bari has believed in this project and in its contributing to create “more accessible” locations, so as to develop new reception models and make existing services more visible. Breaking material and immaterial barriers gives not only advantages to directly involved subjects, but also economic and social benefits in terms of new job opportunities, better life quality, enhanced social integration and equal opportunities
